Varroc Engineering Share Price in Focus as Company Joins Forsee Power for EV Battery Business

Varroc Engineering is joining hands with France-based Forsee Power to expand its electric vehicle battery business in India. Under the proposed arrangement, Varroc will acquire a 45% stake in Forsee Power India and take charge of its management and operations.
The partnership will initially focus on battery packs for electric three-wheelers, with plans to enter other vehicle segments as the business develops.
Three-Wheeler Batteries to Come First
The joint venture will begin with battery-pack solutions for electric three-wheelers. The companies also plan to address demand from electric two-wheelers, light commercial vehicles, buses, trucks, off-highway vehicles and industrial vehicles.
Varroc will also subscribe to optionally convertible redeemable preference shares to support the venture. The companies have not disclosed the investment amount or projected revenue from the arrangement.
Varroc to Take Operational Control
Forsee Power India brings battery-pack technology and systems expertise to the partnership. Varroc will contribute its automotive engineering capabilities, manufacturing experience and relationships with vehicle manufacturers.
The companies intend to combine these strengths to develop battery packs suited to different vehicle designs and operating conditions.
Both Companies See Scope Beyond Three-Wheelers
Varroc's Whole Time Director and CEO for Business I, Arjun Jain, said the partnership would expand the company's technology portfolio and help it address changing requirements in electric mobility.
Forsee Power Chairman and CEO Christophe Gurtner said the arrangement would combine the company's battery technology with Varroc's local industrial capabilities and customer access.
