Kaveri Seed Share Price Falls Over 2% Post Q2 FY27 Earnings Results: Total Income Up 10.8% YoY

On October 28, 2026, Kaveri Seed Company Limited released its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ending September 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.  

Kaveri Seed Q2 FY27 Earnings Results 

The company reported a total income increase of 10.8% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹249.06 crore in the September 2026 quarter, compared to ₹224.82 crore in the same period last year.  

However, this figure represents a 66.6% decline quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹746.23 crore in the June 2026 quarter. 

For the September 2026 quarter, Kaveri Seed Company recorded a net loss of ₹8.78 crore, improving from a net loss of ₹16.20 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. This is a decrease from the net profit of ₹279.84 crore reported in the June 2026 quarter. 

Half-Yearly Financial Overview 

In the half year ending September 30, 2026, the company's total income was ₹995.29 crore, down 9.0% YoY from ₹1,093.22 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.  

The net profit for this period was ₹271.06 crore, reflecting a 12.8% decrease from ₹310.96 crore in the previous year. 

Board Meeting Outcomes 

On October 28, 2026, Kaveri Seed Company held a board meeting where they approved a 250% interim dividend, amounting to ₹5 per equity share. The board also appointed Mr. Muppasani Bhanu Prakash as the Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. 

Global Expansion Strategy 

The company plans to establish 100% wholly-owned subsidiaries in Tanzania, Kenya, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Zambia, and Peru.  

Each subsidiary will receive a capital investment of up to ₹50 lakh, funded through cash consideration, to focus on localised product registrations, crop research, and distribution activities.
