Brigade Enterprises Share Price in Focus; Brigade Group and Hyatt Plan Two New Bengaluru Hotels

Brigade Group is adding two more hotels to its Bengaluru plans. It has signed agreements with Hyatt Hotels Corporation to bring the Hyatt Regency brand to Brigade Global Park and a planned township on Whitefield-Kadugodi Road.
The two properties will have about 600 rooms combined, though both are still at the planning stage.
One Hotel at Each Development
The larger of the two is planned for Brigade Global Park, a 25-acre business and engineering campus. It is expected to have 350 rooms and suites, plus around 25,000 square feet of space for meetings and events.
The Whitefield-Kadugodi Road hotel is planned with 250 rooms. Its facilities are expected to include a ballroom of more than 1,000 square metres, along with other meeting spaces and dining outlets.
Why Bengaluru?
The hotels are intended to serve people visiting the city for work, conferences, celebrations and holidays. Both are expected to have restaurants, bars, fitness facilities and event spaces.
Brigade Joint Managing Director Nirupa Shankar said the projects would add to the company’s hospitality business in Bengaluru. Hyatt’s India and Southwest Asia president, Vikas Chawla, pointed to demand for business travel and events as a reason the city remains important to its expansion plans.
