Asia-Pacific Markets Climb
Asian equities opened on a strong footing, tracking Wall Street’s overnight gains. Investor mood brightened following President Trump’s tariff deferral, which eased immediate concerns over global trade tensions.
- Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.06%, while the broader Topix index advanced 0.88%.
- South Korea’s Kospi added 0.65%, and the Kosdaq gained 0.53%.
- Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 edged up by 0.21%.

U.S. markets rallied sharply on Tuesday as easing tariff concerns and a surprise jump in consumer confidence boosted risk appetite:
- Dow Jones surged 740.58 points (1.78%) to close at 42,343.65
- S&P 500 climbed 118.72 points (2.05%) to end at 5,921.54
- Nasdaq Composite soared 461.96 points (2.47%) to 19,199.16
Dollar Movement
The U.S. dollar index dipped by 0.1%, following a strong move in the prior session. This pullback made gold more appealing for investors holding other currencies.
