Bank Nifty Performance on December 29
Opening at 59,007.05, Bank Nifty moved within a range of 58,916.65 to 59,140.40. The index traded below its previous close of 59,011.35, with a turnover of 2,57,76,275 shares, amounting to ₹829.3 crore. Despite the dip, the index remains above its 52-week low of 47,702.90, though below its high of 60,114.30.
Gainers and Losers
IDFC First Bank and HDFC Bank emerged as top gainers, rising 0.14% to ₹993.50. Kotak Bank also saw a modest gain of 0.12% to ₹2,166.90. In contrast, State Bank of India fell 0.41% to ₹962.35, and Axis Bank declined 0.54% to ₹1,221.60.

IDFC First Bank Gained Most
IDFC First Bank saw a slight increase of 0.18% to ₹85.27, while ICICI Bank remained almost flat with a minor dip of 0.01% to ₹1,350.30. IndusInd Bank, however, dropped 0.29% to ₹847.35, and Punjab National Bank decreased by 0.56% to ₹119.70.
