Adani Power Share Price Surge; Wins 3,200 MW Thermal Project from Assam Power Distribution Company

Adani Power has received a Letter of Award from Assam Power Distribution Company Limited for developing a 3,200 MW greenfield thermal power project.
The facility will supply long-term power to the state utility under a comprehensive build-and-operate arrangement.
APDCL Awards 3,200 MW Ultra-Supercritical Project
The project will consist of 4 units of 800 MW each, designed as an ultra-supercritical thermal plant to be built, financed, owned and operated by Adani Power.
APDCL communicated the award on 13 November, enabling the company to proceed with planning and execution. The project includes a coal linkage secured under the SHAKTI policy to support fuel requirements throughout its lifecycle.
Commissioning Scheduled Between 2030 and 2032
The 3,200 MW facility will be commissioned in phases beginning in December 2030, with full operational capacity expected by December 2032.
The project marks a significant expansion of Adani Power’s generation portfolio in the northeastern region, supporting Assam’s long-term electricity needs under a state-backed procurement framework.

As of November 14, 2025, at 10:20 AM, Adani Power share price is trading at ₹154.54 per share, reflecting a gain of 1.77% from the previous closing price.
